Kents Hill Park Training and Conference Centre, a HotelREZ member hotel in Milton Keynes, is due to complete its multi million pound refurbishment next month. An endeavour which began over 2 years ago, the massive refurbishment project incorporated 330 guest rooms, 70 meeting rooms, reception, lounge and restaurant areas. We recently caught up with Sarah Glossop, the Head of Sales and Marketing at Kents Hill, to get an update on the project. She told us:
“It is great to see so much investment going into the property. Our interior designer has completely transformed our accommodation, creating a comfortable contemporary space for our guests with a definite touch of luxury as well as rainfall showers, freeview flat screen televisions and complimentary Wi-Fi. She then took theses themes and created complimenting designs in our reception, lounge and restaurant areas. The feedback from guests has been incredibly positive”
The newly refurbished bedrooms are now a blend of soothing purple and invigorating lime. The televisions have been upgraded and the white linen finishes the look perfectly. The little touches of elegance have been carried through to the bathrooms where the rainfall showers are complimented by chrome accessories and the tiles are brought to life with bold mosaic strips.
On the other hand, the new look at reception and lounge areas create additional welcoming areas for delegates and hotel guests to meet, network and relax. More recently, a new Gin Corner offering 8 different gins, was the finishing touch to the revamped lounge bar.
“There is definitely a Gin boom at the moment” Sarah Glossop tell us. And she continues:
“This is being led by the popularity of the drink within the 18-34 age bracket and the diverse abundance of quality products in the marketplace. They have become so popular we have created a ‘Gin Corner’ in our ‘Lounge Bar’. We are extremely lucky to have Paul Mott on our team who has a wealth of experience in the bar industry. (…) We gave Paul the challenge of selecting a range of outstanding Gins and he really has come up trumps.”
