This year, on Friday, December 16th, the HotelREZ team will be donning crazy and colourful Christmas knitwear – the sillier the better – in support of Save the Children UK’s Christmas Jumper Day. By coming together for a good cause, sharing our photos and having some fun while doing so, we hope to raise money and awareness to spread some seasonal generosity to some of the world’s poorest children. We’ll also be live Tweeting throughout the day to help spread the word and encourage others to join in and donate, using the hashtag #christmasjumperday.
Behind the silliness, there’s a very serious and worthwhile cause. Save the Children is raising funds to help alleviate the poverty and suffering of disadvantaged children in some of the poorest countries on Earth. The money raised will go towards giving children in places like Nepal and Ethiopia access to education, technology and life-saving medical care, among other things. We encourage our hotel members and everyone reading this to donate on behalf of this great cause. A donation costs just £2 – we think it’s a price worth paying to lend support to these children in need.
